The Egyptian Armed Forces Hidden Card
Previous Letter from an African coastal village
The UN has suspended today his peace observing mission in Syria due to the escalation of the violence. I think the mission was a failure from the beginning because Al Assad was using it as a way to buy time to complete his plans. Observers unarmed, dependent of what the armed forces there are no problem. They can observe the violence and do nothing against it besides inform and sometimes neither that because the armed forces don’t let them go to the crime site like days ago near Hama, when they were attacked and delayed for two days to see what happened, sufficient time to conceal evidences or do whatever in that little village of one of the last massacres.
Have observers sent by the Un to stop the violence while one of the UN’s members of the security council (Russia) is sending choppers and weapons to the Assad regime is crazy. That’s not a will to stop the violence.
Said that they are losing the chances to avoid a civil war is a sad joke. What’s going on in Syria? Violent incidents? like after a soccer game in some too passionate countries? No, that’s a real, cruel war. Let’s call thinks by its name.
They said the mission is not finished but suspended and can be resumed if the conditions change. Let’s see. For now, some independent witnesses are out of the scene. The ones trapped should be more scared if that’s possible. Now without witnesses, everything is possible and Al Assad is still buying time.
