Car bombing in Damascus/acus.org

After the blast in Damascus that killed several top military officers of the Al Assad regime in Syria and the increase of bombings after that, US President Barack Obama spoke on the telephone with Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said to Interfax.

As a whole the existing exchange of opinions shows that the appraisals of the situation in Syria and final goals of regulating (violence) for both sides coincide,” “Together with that, differences in approaches regarding the practical means of reaching a regulation (of violence) still exist,”

Regulation of violence? I though the goal was STOP the violence. What level of violence is OK with Mr. Putin? Answers, please.
