  1. Appalling but typical. Why he should want to be ‘god’ until 2028 is beyond me – unless he thinks all this is going to go away …

  2. Tyrants always want to perpetuate themselves in power. They have no other choice. Be in power or disappear. I don’t know what he thinks about the war. He is making progress on the ground. But even if he eventually wins, he will need to be twice a tyrant to remain in power over a war torn country.
